Brea Fest is a family event that is Brea’s most “tastiest” celebration and party of the year. Guests are invited to sample delicious food and beverages from over 30 area restaurants and features two outdoor bands, live music and exhibition in the Gallery, demonstrating artists, live theater performances, balloon artist, magicians, and much more. “Kidsville” sponsored by North Hills Church includes face painting, a caricature artist, make-and-take crafts, and kid-friendly foods. Brea Fest is designed to support and benefit Brea’s various art programs such as the Curtis Theatre, the Brea Gallery, Summer Concerts in the Park and arts education workshops and activities. Admission to Brea Fest, including all entertainment, is free. Participating restaurants generously donate food and beverages to this annual event. This fair offers older adults valuable health services, such as a wide variety of health screening opportunities, information on health, wellness and safety issues. Screenings typically include cholesterol, blood pressure hearing, lung function and metabolism. Additionally, vendors from various agencies that provide service to seniors distribute valuable information. The seasonal flu vaccine will be available, while supplies last.
